The Ford 2.0 EcoBlue engine uses a belt-in-oil (wet belt) timing system which requires specialised timing and locking tools during servicing.

The kit now includes a dedicated Ford 2.0L EcoBlue crankshaft pulley removal tool, equivalent to Ford Special Tool 303-1657.

The EcoBlue crankshaft pulley incorporates a bonded rubber vibration-damping section. Using a conventional two-jaw or three-jaw puller against the outer edge can place force through this rubber section and potentially damage or separate the harmonic balancer.

The included 303-1657 equivalent puller engages the pulley at the correct mounting points, allowing the crankshaft pulley, vibration damper or harmonic balancer to be removed correctly during applicable EcoBlue wet belt and timing procedures.

This is particularly useful for Ford Ranger PX3 2.0L Bi-Turbo, Ranger PY Next Gen 2.0L and Everest 2.0L EcoBlue applications.
