Warranty Statement
Ford Transit Parts (FTP), a trading name of Consolidated Auto Pty Ltd (ABN 37 679 198 826), provides a 12-month or 20,000 km warranty, whichever occurs first, from the date of invoice on new parts and kits. This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship only.
Fuel injection products (including injectors and fuel pumps) are also subject to the additional conditions set out below.
The customer must notify FTP promptly upon first becoming aware of a potential warranty issue. Warranty claims cannot be processed without FTP's approval.
Warranty Conditions
To be eligible for warranty assessment, the following conditions must be met:
- The product must have been installed by a licensed mechanic or workshop, fitted strictly in accordance with manufacturer specifications and correct torque, sealant, and timing procedures
- The product must have been installed on the correct make, model, and application as stated on the product listing or invoice
- The product must not have been modified, adjusted, misused, incorrectly installed, or operated outside manufacturer specifications
- The customer is responsible for the condition of the vehicle's engine and related systems prior to installation
- Relevant systems (engine oil, cooling, and timing systems) must be free from pre-existing faults or contamination. Warranty does not apply where failure is caused by, but not limited to:
- incorrect or contaminated engine oil
- pre-existing wear or damage to related components not supplied by FTP
- use of non-genuine or non-recommended ancillary components (such as sealants, tensioners, or fasteners) not supplied or specified by FTP
- rust or corrosion
- foreign matter, debris, or other impurities within the engine or timing system
Additional Conditions – Fuel Injection Products
The following additional conditions apply to fuel injectors, fuel pumps, and related fuel injection products:
- The product must have been installed by a licensed mechanic, diesel technician, or fuel injection specialist, fitted strictly in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- The customer is responsible for the condition of the vehicle's fuel system prior to installation
- The fuel system must be free from contamination. Warranty does not apply where failure is caused by, but not limited to:
- fuel contamination
- water ingress
- rust or corrosion
- sludge, microbial growth, or bio-diesel breakdown
- foreign matter, debris, or other impurities within the fuel system
Warranty Limitations
The warranty applies to the part only and does not cover:
- labour or installation costs
- removal or reinstallation costs
- diagnostic or testing costs
- towing, vehicle hire, travel or transport expenses
- consequential loss, downtime, or loss of income
Returning a product for inspection does not guarantee that the warranty will be approved.
All warranty decisions, including repair, replacement or refund, are at the sole discretion of FTP.
Warranty Claim Procedure
To lodge a warranty claim:
- Email sales@fordtransitparts.com.au to notify FTP of the issue.
- Provide proof of purchase and a description of the fault.
- Provide reasonable diagnostic information or evidence if requested.
- FTP will assess the information and advise next steps. FTP may require the item to be returned for inspection before a determination is made.
Definitions
"Supplier" refers to Ford Transit Parts (FTP), a trading name of Consolidated Auto Pty Ltd. "Customer" refers to the individual, company, or entity purchasing the product.
Nothing in this warranty statement excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on the Customer under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.
