When to replace it

• Whenever the joint it seals has been opened, as used seals and gaskets rarely seal properly a second time.
• If there is a leak or the original has gone hard, cracked or flattened.

Fitting tip

Clean both mating faces thoroughly and don't use sealant unless Ford specifies it for that joint.
